This page describes exactly what the Altores website (altores.mc) places in your browser, why, and for how long. It was written from the site’s own code, and it will be updated before anything on it changes. It does not ask you to accept anything by the mere fact of reading it: consent by browsing is not consent, and today there is nothing here that would require one.
1.In one paragraph
This site sets no cookies of its own before you have said yes. It runs no advertising and loads no third-party script on its own; even its fonts are served from our own address. It uses your browser’s local storage for a few conveniences that never leave your device. If you agree, and only then, audience measurement starts, with PostHog, hosted in the EU and Google Analytics; its cookies are listed below. That is the whole list.
3.Local storage in your browser
Local storage is a space your browser keeps for each website, similar to cookies but never sent along with requests. This site uses it for three things. None of them contains a name, an address or an identifier, none is transmitted anywhere, and none is read by anyone but the page you are on.
| Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|
altores-fx localStorage | The level of visual effects you chose in the menu, so the site opens the way you left it. | Until you clear your browser’s site data. |
altores-news-dismissed localStorage | Which items of the news bar you closed, so the same bar does not come back on the next page. | Until you clear your browser’s site data. |
altores.composer.pendingaltores_quote sessionStorage | The message you drafted on the home page and the figures from the cost calculator, kept only so they survive a page reload on the way to the contact page. | The current tab only; gone when you close it. |
altores-consent localStorage | Your answer on the measurement banner (yes or no), so it is not asked again on every page. | Six months, then the question is asked again. |
The third one deserves a word: the text you type on the home page is your own description of your operations, and it is kept in the tab rather than in the address bar precisely so that it never appears in a URL, a referrer or a server log. It is sent to Altores only when you send it.
4.Audience measurement: with your agreement
If you accept on the banner, audience measurement starts with PostHog, hosted in the EU and Google Analytics: pages viewed, the path from one page to the next, clicks, the country and the browser, without ever entering what you type. Refuse, and nothing loads. Here is what is stored, on this site’s domain:
| Cookie | Tool | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_phc_oXbxpkK4VtjC3VoxyphmKUrmYMDNHS8VeBgSi34RZN8g_posthog | PostHog, hosted in the European Union | A random identifier for this browser and the current session, so that visits and pages can be counted together. | Thirteen months. |
_ga_ga_8S7PG6SSMB | Google Analytics | A random identifier for this browser, and a second cookie that keeps the session state for this property. | Thirteen months. |
The identifiers are random and are not tied to a name or an email address. Session recording is switched off. Data sent to PostHog stays on servers in the European Union. Data sent to Google Analytics is processed by Google under the safeguards described in the privacy policy. You can withdraw your agreement at any time from the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
5.Clearing and refusing
You need no tool from us to control any of the above:
- Local storage: your browser can clear the data of this site (in its settings, under privacy or site data). The site keeps working; the effects preference and the closed news bar simply come back to their defaults.
- Changing your mind: the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page reopens the banner. Refusing after having accepted stops the tools on the next page; the cookies they set can then be deleted from your browser.
6.Changes to this page
This page changes when what the site stores changes, and before it does. The date at the top is the date of the last change. The previous version of this page described advertising cookies and third-party analytics that this site has never used; it was replaced on 16 August 2026 by this description of what actually exists.
