A hundred people gathered in the Principality for a day of talks on artificial intelligence and what it takes to put it to work. The event was ours, from the programme to the stage.
On 17 November 2023, a hundred people came together in Monaco for a day we had built end to end: the programme, the speakers, the stage, the logistics.
The idea fitted in two words: use cases. There as everywhere else, a great deal was being said about artificial intelligence and blockchain, and rather little about what those technologies do once deployed. We wanted a day that showed rather than announced, and where the people who build things met each other properly.
It was not a marketing exercise. It is where we measured the gap between what the market imagined AI to be and what could actually be delivered at the time. That gap became the Altores thesis: one trade at a time, with the people who practise it, and demonstrations rather than promises.
We would like to do it again. No date is set today.
One of the best events I have been to in Monaco and definitely the one I had the most fun. It was so great to see so many young, ambitious and driven people trying to build something. You made me feel something I haven’t felt in Monaco in a long time: hope.
